With the precious metal market reaching record highs, it’s easy to sell your gold, silver or platinum to just about anyone.
Before doing so, ask yourself…
Who should I trust?
Who is going to pay the most for what I have to sell?
At Perry’s, we pay approximately 70% of what our refiner’s spot price is the day you come in. That means you get 70% of the market value for the gram weight of your precious metals and we get 30%.
Unlike our “competitors” (if you can even call them that), OUR PAYOUT IS CLEAR, IT’S IN BLACK AND WHITE AND IT’S ON THIS WEBSITE!
WE DON’T:
Use gimmick phrases like “Highest Prices” or “Top Cash.”
Make FALSE promises to “guarantee” the best price; then, not pay it.
Use faulty scales, confusing formulas, lost shipment claims or any of the other SCAMS that opportunists are using these days to take advantage of hard working people during difficult times.
AT PERRY’S…
We are a physical location in Wilmington, North Carolina; not someone who is sending you an envelope in the mail, or a random person you are never going to see again from a hotel room or gold party.
This is a Christian family business, with a family name and a 19yr old reputation to protect.
We have been buying gold and estate jewelry for years, we didn’t just jump on the gold bandwagon yesterday. When you come to Perry’s, you will either meet with Alan Perry, himself, or one of Alan’s trusted employees (usually Jacob or Shannon) in a private office to discuss your items discretely.
We are respectful of our customers, understanding that times are hard and this is often a difficult decision to make.
Determine if what you have is something of monetary value.
This same link (directly above) also provides generic information regarding how we determine value and what we can pay. Although we would like to, unfortunately, sentimental value is not something we can take into account. In general, we are interested in genuine:
- Gold, Silver or Platinum (solid)
- Diamonds – Close to (or over) 1 carat in good condition and round brilliant cuts or popular fancy shapes (such as Princess, Cushion or Radiant)
- Late model, popular designer jewelry that is in good condition
- Late and/or popular model high end, designer watches
- Unique, valuable, rare, antique and/or one-of-a-kind jewelry
